Where's home?

Bought this cutie a while ago from and procastrinated a ref sheet so yesterday I sat down and drew him in a portrait.
Please don't ask me why I offer it as a print. I just don't know it, too.

I imagine Rayden (his name now) to be more of a loner-dog who got into dark magic partly through couriosity, partly from boredom. After his second attempt of summoning something (he was lazy so he just translated the ritual itself) he found himself lost in a very abstract world with two chaines connected to his back-leg-bones. He went through dozens of color cycles (four colors - each color stands for a diffrent mental stage )he managed to get out of his punishment - just to be challenged again. 
This time, he landed in a forest.  It's always dark. Sometimes brighter blue, sometimes the galaxy was entirely visible. But he wasn't bothered much and enjoyed his being alone quiet much. Until he met another dog who went through the same torture and he realised that the chains were still there, just not heavy anymore and together they tried to get through this challenge.
As Rayden's friend hit a green-glowing stone, he suddenly disappeared into thousand of thousands little stars and Rayden was alone. The stone itself transformed into a necklace which Rayden can't take off.
So he was alone, again. But this time the loneliness bothered him. It wasn't exactly being alone itself, it was the fact that he was forced into it. And he got angry, so angry that he ran through the dark forest until he felt the chains slowing his movement. They itched, they hurt.
Rayden started to cry and looked around. His friend was his home, his safe haven but someone took it away and left him without a clue how he could get it back - he didn't even know his name since everyone forgets who they were in the Abstract World.
The dog felt the necklace heating up and he looked down to it. But  it wasn't on the string anymore, it layed in a little puddle, making the clear water appear bright green. He saw a shadowy-silhouette looking at him with a sneaky grin. It laughed and laughed before it reached with its dark paw to the reflection if Rayden. Suddenly the vision vanished and a new one appeared. It was his friend! 
They too hadn't have many friends in their life so they tried everything to get back to Rayden. But it was impossible. Who passed the challenges would not be able to get back. His friend wore a neat copper and gold ornament on their chest and a little mirror layed in front of their paws. What did they see? Rayden wanted to know. He leaned more into the lake, just to see his own eyes in the mirror's reflection before he fell into the water. The green light disappeared and he sunk deeper into the water. Rayden's chains pulled him down.

That's his story so far. Idk if I'll explain the Abstract World more since it is kinda confusing if I would describe it - especially in English, which isn't my native tounge.
